Mary Van Cash

CASH, Mary V. of Sunnyvale went home to be with the Lord on Janaury 28, 2013. She was a member of the Saturn Rd. Church of Christ. Survived by her husband, Paul E. Cash; son, K. Paul and his wife, Toni; son, Timothy; daughter, Leah Goodhart & husband, David; all residents of Sunnyvale.She is also survived by her four precious grandchildren; Blake and Cody Cash, Grace and Cash Goodhart; brothers & sisters-in-law, Jim & Carolyn Watts, Phil and Laverne Watts; of Little Rock, AR; Marys second son, David, had previously preceded her to a heavenly home in 1984. Mary lived in Sunnyvale for the last 37 years, was a former member of the Sunnyvale Garden Club and was very active in the community when her husband, Paul served as Mayor of Sunnyvale.She was part of a large and extended family of nephews, nieces, cousins, former classmates; numerous old friends of the family, stretching from Delaware on the East Coast to Arkansas, Texas and on West to Phoenix, Arizona.With the aid of her computer, she kept up with their almost daily lives and activities, even though they were in distant places. Her interest in history and research of family genealogy also led her to an Associate Degree in History from Eastfield College.She was also a proud graduate of the St. Vincents School of Nursing in Little Rock.She spent countless hours researching family history and participation in North Arkansas historical and community events, even back to pre-Civil War times. Service will be 2:00PM Saturday February 2, 2013 at New Hope Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00PM " 8:00PM.
