BELT, Mary Sue, a resident of Mesquite, Texas since 1953, passed away on May 12, 2004, at the age of 71. Born on May 29, 1932, in Bomarton (Baylor County) Texas, she was the 9th of 11 children born to J.O. & Dot Warren.Sue spent much of her growing up years in Denton, TX. where she graduated from North Texas Demonstration High School. She was a devoted wife to P.M., her husband of 51 years, a mother to three sons and a loving "Granny" to her 9 precious grandchildren. She worked for the food service department of the Mesquite Independent School District for 20 years, but "her life" was as a housewife and mom.She devoted herself to serving others, caring for her family and making her home a welcome and warm place for anyone and everyone.She loved to cook and Sunday lunches at her house were always a treat.She was a talented singer and used her lovely voice to bless and serve many people.She was a member of the Mesquite Church of Christ for almost 50 years and took great joy in teaching "her girls" in the 5th & 6th grade Bible class.A kind and gentle woman, Sue exemplified a Christ like life and taught us all many lessons about how to live, love and serve. She was preceded in death by husband, P. M. Belt, Jr.; parents, J. O. & Dot Warren; brother, Ray Warren and sister, Lena Barnes. She is survived by sons, David Belt & wife Debbie, Gary Belt & wife Becky, Larry Belt & wife Penny; grandchildren, Taylor, Jordan, Kevin, James, Leslie, Michael, LeShae, Ty & Peyton, sisters, Mary Seitz, Martha Boswell, Nanza Shepelwich & Elwanda Meeker & husband Harold; brothers, Tom Warren & wife Pat, Garland Warren & wife Grace & Marion Warren & wife Judy. Services will be 10:00AM Saturday May 15, 2004, at the Mesquite Church of Christ, 400 W. Davis, Mesquite, TX. 75149, with Kyle Bolton officiating. Interment will be in Laurel Oaks Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the Mesquite Church of Christ, Friday evening from 6:30PM - 9:30PM. Contributions in memory of Mary Belt may be made to the 6th Floor Roberts Building at Baylor Hospital, Dallas.Checks need to be made payable to Baylor Health Care System Foundation and noted to be in memory of Mary Belt.The check can be mailed to 3600 Gaston Avenue Suite 100 Dallas, Texas 75246.
