Martha Bell

January 3, 1937 — February 11, 2010

Our beloved mother, Martha Bell of Mesquite, was born January 3, 1937 in Bodcaw, AR.; passed away at home after a lengthy illness with family at her side on February 11, 2010. Preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Josie Littles of Texarkana, AR. Marty had 6 sisters and 5 brothers. Survived by daughters, Brenda Brown and husband Richard, Sharon Bryan and husband George, Belinda Bell and Matt, and son, Tommy Bartholomew. Also survived by grandchildren, Melanie Land and Danny Hill, Cory and Lindsey Griffin, Ashley and Lindsey Houston and Jeremy Browning; great grandchildren, Austin, Hailey and Brayden Hill, Landrie Griffin, Alexis and Ryleigh Browning, Felisha Harrad, Kelly and Benjamin Brown and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mother will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family always worrying and caring for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her many family members. Known for her down to earth nature and her love for the outdoors. She was independent, strong-willed and had an uncanny ability to speak her mind, are just a few of her enduring qualities that we all loved about her. We are blessed to have shared time with her in our lives, always making us laugh with her endless sense of humor. A truly wonderful person who enjoyed life and her family. We will always cherish and be thankful for our memories we shared with her, always carrying her in our hearts. Services will be Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 11:00 AM at New Hope Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home onTuesday evening, February 16, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A special thank you to Dr. Mark Ferris and the many nurses and caretakers who cared for her over the years. The family invites guests to come by for fellowshipat3712 Modlin St., Mesquite, TX.
