Marjorie LaDon Spoor

Marjorie LaDon Spoor, 76 of Mesquite Texas passed away on May 16, 2023 peacefully in her sleep.

Marjorie was born August 30, 1946 to Wilber Elmer and Marjorie LaDon Sheppard in Salina Kansas. Marjorie attended Agnew Middle School and graduated from Mesquite High School.

Marjorie worked for a small insurance agency and with her husband John Howard Rowland as they started up Rowland Electric. After John passed Marjorie married Charles Spoor and they continued with Rowland Spoor Electric from which she retired.

Marjorie loved spending time with family and friends at restaurants and other gatherings. In her younger years was a member of the Mesquite Dune Buggy Club where she raced cross country and drags in dune buggies. She loved watching clouds, she pointed them out to me daily. She loves watching little children playing and she loves her dogs and cats. Marjorie was the daughter of a Baptist minister and she was saved and baptized at an early age. She has now joined her Lord and Savior and those who went on before her.

Marjorie is preceded in death by her mother Marjorie, her father Wilber, her husband John Howard Rowland, and 2nd husband Charles Spoor and in January of 2021 she unexpectedly lost her only child, Valerie Denise Rowland.

Marjorie leaves behind her sister Linda Sullenger, brother in law W.C. Sullenger, grandson Matthew James, his wife Summer and great grandson Henry. Also, grandson Jacob James, his wife Lexi, great grandson Jacob Jr., and great granddaughter Aria. Step son Mike Spoor and wife Susan, grandson Clayton and wife Payton and great grandsons Hawkins, Charlie, and Hodge. Granddaughter Candace Anness and husband John, and great grandsons Carter, Maverick, and Jaxon. There are numerous neices and nephews as well including Dawson Sullenger, Krisha Murphy, Justin Murphy, Alexys Knearum, Skylar Alexander, Lisa Smith, Jenifer Smith, Ariana, James Sample, DeeDee Sample, Jason Smith, Jessica Smith, Brady, and Jason Jr.
