WOOD, Marion Land of Mesquite, born August 23, 1927 in Tulia, TX, passed away November 1, 2009.Graduated Texas Tech University in 1948. Marion enjoyed square dancing, shopping, spending time with friends and involved in anything Monte Ray Wood Jr, was doing. Preceded in death by father, Floyd Caruth Land, mother, Mary Ruth Lemmon Land, sister, Elva (Kit) Land Scott. Survived by husband, Monte Ray Wood; son & daughter-in-law, Monte Ray Wood, Jr. & Kellie Michelle Hippely-Wood; grandchildren, Brittanie Michelle Wood, Brandon Prescott Wood, Brice Anthony Wood and Brooke Danielle Wood. Service will be 12:00Noon Thursday November 5, 2009 at New Hope Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00PM " 8:00PM.
