Marion Marshall Garner

Marion M. Garner, born in Forney, TX. on March 18, 1925 to Lela Mae & M. M. Garner, Sr. M. M. was raised in Forney and began farming with his father at an early age. He served in the United States Army during World War II, stationed in Italy. He returned to Forney where he made a career of farming and raising cattle. On October 2, 1948, he married Betsy Helen Lane. From 1984 until 1996, M. M. owned and operated the Forney Feed Store with his son. M. M. is survived by his lovingwife of 60 years, Betsy; daughter, Pamela Paschall of Allen and son, Larry Garner & wife, Jana of Forney; brother, Richard Don Garner of Terrell; grandchildren, Jennifer Gathright & husband, Kelly, Sharon Garner, Mark Garner; great grandchildren, Kelsey & Blake Gathright. Service will be 2:00PM Friday April 24, 2009 at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Hwy. 80, Sunnyvale, TX. 75182. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the CLC Hospice Program, @ V. A.
