Mariamma Varkey

Mariamma Varkey was born to Yohannan and Sosamma of Alummoottil, Pullad, Kerala, India on October 18, 1920. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and was baptized in water early in her childhood. She was united with Pastor Varkey P. Varkey in marriage for 70 years, and together with him served the Lord for more than 60 years. She was a faithful wife, committed mother, and loving grandmother and great grandmother. Her hardworking nature, affection and hospitality are just a few of her attributes that we cherish. Mariamma is survived by her husband (Pastor Varkey), children (Annamma Varughese, Saramma Isaac, Ackamma George, Samuel Varkey, Sosamma Yohannan, and Johnson Varkey), children-in-law (Thomas Varughese, Samuel Isaac, Ariyappallil George, Lipcy Varkey, Lukose Yohannan, and Rachel Varkey), grandchildren and their families (Abraham and Neethu Varughese, Annie and James Derring, Alvin Varughese, Sunil and Amanda Isaac, Sheeba and Joey Thomas, Binu and Reena Joseph, Biju and Rena Joseph, Rachel Varkey, Rebecca Varkey, Matthew Varkey, Grace and Manooj Thomas, Chris Yohannan, Bryce Yohannan, Jeremy Varkey, Joseph Varkey, Jason Varkey and great grandchildren (Isaiah Varughese, Adam, Jasmin, Julia, Joy, and Aaron Derring, Josiah Thomas, Katelyn and Elijah Joseph and Hannah Thomas). We take solace in the blessed hope of seeing her face to face when our Lord Jesus Christ returns from heaven. Family will receive friends Friday, December 2nd from 6:30pm-8:30pm at Maranatha Full Gospel Church, Mesquite, TX. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 3rd 9:30 AMat the church.
