Margaret Jean Ondracek

July 8, 1945 — December 19, 2013

Margaret Ondracek, 68, passed from this life to enter the presence of her Savior on December 19, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Margaret was born on Galveston Island, to Earl & January Poe, on July 8, 1945. Though Margaret received more than her fair-share of difficulties in this life, no hardship or problem could take away her joy.She was born the oldest of eight children to parents that were itinerant farmers. From an early age Margaret was accustomed to hard work and responsibility. Many great values were instilled in her during her youth, which molded her to become a truly remarkable lady. As a single mother with a selfless spirit, tireless work ethic, and abounding joy she devoted herself to raising three ornery boys in west Texas. It was certainly a life of continual sacrifice, but to Margaret, her sons were worth the cost. Proverbs 31:25-28a Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; Margaret is survived by her sons: Allen Ondracek and wife Gina of Emory, TX; her son Mike Ondracek and wife Kim of Forney, TX; her son Lance Ondracek and wife Susanne of Mesquite, TX.She is survived by her siblings:her sister Barbara Clopton and husband Ben of Venus, TX; her sister Ivy “Elaine” Rinehart of Red Oak, TX; her brother Larry Poe & wife Paula of Merit, TX; her sister Linda Hutchinson of Irving, TX;her brother Ricky Poe and wife Gail of Clifton, TX; her sister Marylynn James of Waco, TX.Margaret is survived by 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents Earl & January Poe; her sister & brother in law, Sheila & Dwayne Sellers; brother in law, Tom Rinehart; & brother in law, Charlie James. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at the New Hope funeral home in Sunnyvale, TX on Saturday December 28th at 12:00 pm with her pastor, Dr. Chad Spence officiating.
