Marcus Wayne Lewis

Marcus Wayne Lewis was called home surrounded by his family, friends, and numerous loved ones in Mesquite, Texas on June 10, 2016 at the age of 67. Mark is survived by his children Shawn Patrick Lewis, Kimberly Renee Lynch, Marcus Wayne Lewis Jr, Brenda Gail Meador, Brandi Lynn Merrill and their spouses, his 14 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Thelma Odelia Lewis, father Oscar Marcus Lewis and his son Randall Wayne Lewis. Mark was born on June 24, 1948 in Dallas, Texas to his loving parents. He started working at 12 years old and was known as a jack of all trades. Throughout his life he welcomed six children and loved spending time with his many grandchildren. He went on to have various careers in construction and transportation until he retired from Argos Southern Star Concrete in Terrell, Texas. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time in the great outdoors. His children remember him as a loving father who was always making them laugh while wearing his iconic boots and cowboy hat.
