Louis Edward Everett

December 17, 1951 — July 29, 2014

Louis Edward Everett passed away on July 29, 2014 in Abilene, Texas. Funeral services will be held in Sunnyvale at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 2, 2014 at New Hope Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens. Burial will follow at the New Hope Memorial Gardens Cemetery. As we reflect on his life, we want to cherish and celebrate the memories we have. Louis was born December 17, 1951 in Chattanooga Tennessee. He met the love of his life on April 5, 1974 and they married on December 10, 1977. Together they raised three beautiful daughters, Lisa, Nicole and Krystle. Over 40 years together, they both devoted their lives to their family. Without the love and support of Peggy and Louis, the girls would not have become who they are today. Louis always saw everything in the best light. He had an amazing personality that warmed the hearts of anyone he met. He not only had a wonderful connection with his family he had a long list of friends that he would do anything for and they would do anything for him. In a lifetime we are lucky to find even just one friend that we can really call our friend but Louis had many because of the special kind of man he was and the way he chose to live his life. Along with close relationships with his family and friends he had great work relationships as well. The people that worked with Louis loved him and thought the world of him. He worked so hard no matter what. Rain or shine, in sickness or in health, Louis gave maximum effort to do his job every day. He rarely missed work and never took vacation because work was one of the most important things to him. That says a lot about his personality, too, because no matter what, he wanted everyone to know he was loyal and reliable. Louis loved playing sports in his younger years and loved watching them, as he got older. He loved spending his time on his property, in Crandall, where he constantly worked to make it a beautiful place for his family. The things that most people consider work were the kinds of things that Louis enjoyed to do in his spare time, like keeping the property well maintained and beautiful. It is difficult to express all the ways that Louis made life better because it is not possible to count the ways he positively shaped and influenced the people around him. Louis died believing that God has a plan at work in his life and the lives of others. He relied on that faith to the end of his physical life and made his way into Heaven the evening he passed with his wife and children by his side. Louis is preceded in death by his parents Barbara Sue Nygard and Louis Edward Everett, Sr, and his brother Teddy Everett. He is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Peggy Everett and his three daughters Lisa, Nicole and Krystle Everett, and his brothers Danny, Rex, and Gary Everett. The family will be at the funeral home Saturday afternoon for a short visitation beginning at 1:00 PM.
