Loretta Ford Escue

Loretta Escue, age 81, passed away April 15, 2024. She was born March 8, 1943 in Lenna, Oklahoma to Iva Dot (Calvert) Ford and Volnia Ford.

Loretta moved to Dallas and married her beloved husband Howard Edwin Escue. They had three children, Dana, Scott, and Kyle and remained by each other's side for fifty-eight years prior to Edwin's passing in 2020.

Loretta was a natural caretaker and keeper of family traditions whether by cooking a meal to share or a birthday cake to make you feel special, through sewing and quilting, or working in her garden. Loretta will live on through spending time outdoors among flowers and birds. She loved her family fiercely and was loved deeply in return.

Preceded in death by her husband Howard Edwin Escue, parents, brothers Phil and Lucky Ford, and sister Charlene (Ford) Mee. Survived by her children Dana (Mike) Marsh, Scott, and Kyle Escue, grandchildren Mallorie (Nick) Barr, Dylan Marsh, Brittany (Michael) Branch, and Payton Marsh, great-grandchildren Jace Marsh and Liam Branch, brothers Maxie, Danny, and Calvin Ford, sister Kathryn Burleson; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 10:00 AM at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas, with a visitation preceding at 9:00 AM.  Burial will follow at 1:30 PM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
