Lorena Hayes

HAYES, Lorena of Garland, born November 21, 1910, passed away October 27, 2009. Preceded in death by parents, Floyd & Flora Chenault, step-mother, Cora Ewing, brothers, George & David Chenault, son, Jack Hayes. Survived by daughter, Linda Hayes Henderson & husband, Don; grandchildren, Jack Hayes & wife, April, Heather Odeh & husband, Andy, Tiffani Jenkins & husband, Bob, Jennifer Tracy & husband, John, Crystal Henderson; great grandchildren, Stefanie, Tanner, Courtney, Trevor, Riley & Ralen; several nieces and nephews. Lorena grew up in Forney and graduated from Forney High School in 1926 or 27. She moved to Henrietta, TX later in life where she had her first child, Jack. After moving back to Dallas and having Linda, she worked for Betty Fickling Schools at Gaston Park Primary School in the 1960's then when to work at Elizabeth Frank Private School until 1978 when she retired. She enjoyed a long retirement of over 30 years. After the graveside service, everyone is welcome to join Don & Linda at their home at 317 Meadow Dr., Sunnyvale, TX. Coming back in on Hwy 80, take the Collins Road exit and continue straight to Jobson, turn right and go up to Meadow and turn right. Graveside service will be 3:00PM Thursday October 29, 2009 at Hillcrest Cemetery, Forney, TX.
