SATTERWHITE, Lois Marie (Koonce) 79 of Forney went home to meet her Lord and Savior and her beloved husband of 49 years, Weldon James Satterwhite on November 26, 2007. Lois passed at home with her family in Harleton, TX.Visitation is Thursday November 29, 2007 from 5:00PM - 7:00PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at Forney First Baptist Church on November 30, 2007 at 2:00PM.Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. Mrs. Satterwhite was born on June 12, 1928 in Arlington, TX. to Luther & Cora Koonce.Lois married Weldon on December 24, 1955.During her 79 years, Lois was a devoted wife, proud mother and faithful Christian woman.She worked for many years as an insurance underwriter and Mary Kay consultant.She spent much of her time doing for others, putting their needs before her own.She and her husband supported many charities. Her parents, husband, brothers and sisters, 1 grandchild and many friends preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons and spouses, Carl York of Forney, Jack (Joanne) York, & Larry (Karen) York both of Diana, TX; 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Wanda Koonce and many nieces, nephews and cousins.Pallbearers are James Daniel Cunningham, Curtis Allums, Jr., Eddie Baxley, Bud Railey, Paul Railey, James Railey, and John Gibbons.Honorary pallbearer. In Lois's final days, she was taken care of by her sons, spouses and granddaughter, Terri Allums (York). The family would like to acknowledge Don and Stella Cates, Roland Tyler, Pat Fondren, Cindy and Corrina Schwartzkof and Delores Burns, whose friendship and love meant everything to her. We would like to give special thanks to the East Texas area hospitals, Upshur Manor and Heartsway Hospice for making her final days a little easier. Thank you all for your prayers, acts of kindness and words of sympathy in this, our time of loss.God Bless You. In lieu of flowers the family asks to you to donate to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
