Obituary for Linda Gayle Smallwood Feb 25, 1951 - Sep 10, 2016 Linda Gayle Fleming Smallwood of Forney, TX, passed away on Saturday, Sep 10, 2016 from complications resulting from ALS.She was born Feb. 25, 1951, in Dallas, TX.She was a 1969 graduate of Sherman High School in Sherman, TX.She married Donald Smallwood in 1969.Linda worked for Texas Power and Light as dispatcher in Sherman, TX and as an instructor in the Dallas training department.She worked as a consultant for computer training in the telecommunication industry throughout the United States.For several years, she operated a local coffee shop and cafe in Forney, TX.Most recently she worked in real estate for Coldwell Banker Apex, also in Forney, helping people to find new homes andhappiness for their families in the community. Linda is survived by her husband, Donald Smallwood, of Forney TX,her loving children, Jennifer Macdonald and husband Scott Macdonald of Rockwall, TX, a son Jeremy L. Smallwood and wife, Jennifer Smallwood of Forney, TX, her grandchildren, of whom she was most proud, Jack Macdonald, Josie Macdonald, Lucy Macdonald, Jane Smallwood, and Clay Smallwood,her mother, Margie Fleming, and sister, Julie Bradshaw and husband Randy Bradshaw, also of Forney, TX. She was preceded in death by her father, Lowell B. Fleming. There will be a memorial service to celebrate Linda's life at New Hope Funeral in Sunnyvale, TX on Thursday, Sep 15, 2016, at 2:00pm. The family would like to express appreciation and sincere thanks for all the support and prayers that have been offered during Linda's illness.They also would like to express their appreciation to the dedicated professional caregivers, nurses, and therapists that helped throughout her illness.Prayers are also solicited for the research work being done to find treatment and a cure for this disease.
