Linda Pearl Meyer

September 1, 1947 — July 23, 2012

MEYER, Linda Pearl was born Linda Pearl Moench on September 1, 1947, to Harrison and Pearl Moench of Pomeroy, Iowa. She graduated from Pomeroy High School with the class of 1965, and attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City. She was married to Michael John Meyer, also of Pomeroy, with whom she had two children, Melinda Joy, now 34, and Mitchell James, now 42. She worked in various parts of the country as an Editors Assistant, an Executive Assistant, and in the insurance industry. In addition to her employment, Linda was a fun-loving mother and sister, a world class jokester, and an armchair psychologist. She loved art, music, movies, writing, and had an interest in spiritualism. She had a sharp but slightly warped sense of humor, and a talent for making you think. Linda was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving her are her two children, Mitch and Mindy; her daughter-in-law, Teresa Meyer; her grandchildren Molly Meyer, Francesca Oates, and Devin Tribble; her brothers, Jim Moench and wife Mary, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Bill Moench of Denver, Colorado; and her nieces and nephews David Moench, Joe Moench, Callie Moench, and Jessie Moench. She is also survived by her good friend Mike Meyer and his wife Fran, and her pets, Sadie the dog, Shey the grand-dog and Gracie the cat. At the time of her death on July 23, 2012, Linda lived in Mesquite, Texas, worked at McGriff, Seibels & Williams of Texas, Inc., and was approximately one month away from her 65th birthday. Every person, all the events of your life, are there because you have drawn them there. What you choose to do with them is up to you. How to cope with Stress: (1) Dont sweat the small stuff (2) Its all small stuff
