Linda Sue Baker was born in Moulton, Alabama on June 12, 1942. Linda, born to Mary Helen and Gilbert Royce McCullough , was the third of five children. Linda attended Celeste High School. While in school, she played three years of volleyball, two years of softball, and was in the FHA for four years. Linda was also in speech and participated in her senior class play, graduating in 1961. Linda also married her high school love, Thomas Henry (T.H.) Baker, Jr., in 1961. Linda gave birth to two daughters and worked as a proof reader for Deluxe check printers. On August 30, 2012, Linda left this world after a long illness. Linda is proceeded in death by her husband, T.H., her daughter, Sherry Denise Baker Mitchell, her mother and father, her youngest brother, Mike McCullough, and many other family members and friends. Linda is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Langston, and her husband, Robert, special neice, Frankie Thompson; son-in-law, William Douglas Mitchell; one sister, Rebekah Mercer, and her husband, Jim, brother Bill McCullough and his wife, Betty, brother John McCullough, and sister-n-law, Mary McCullough. Linda is also survived by three granddaughters, Heather Mitchell, Emily Mitchell, and Nicole Langston, and by many nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home, in Sunnyvale, Texas, at 12:00, on Wednesday, September 5th. Visitation will be on that same day, at 11 a.m.
