Leonard Louis Glasscock was born September 9, 1924 in Lindale, Texas.He passed away on June 11, 2008. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Father, his Son, and four brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris (Peggy); daughters: Lynette Macon of Rowlett Texas, and Gwen Burnham of Whitney, Texas; brother, Frank Wilson of Stephenville, Texas; sisters: Minnie Clark of California, RubyStacy of Okemah, Oklahoma, Dorothy Clinton of California, andFrances Low of Nacogdoches, Texas.He is also survived by6 Grandchildren; Robert Glasscock, DeeDee Glasscock, Thomas Lee Glasscock, Jr., Becky Wood, Steve Macon & Cheryl Rose, and 12 Great Grandchildren. Leonard was actively involved in his church, most recently Calvary Baptist Church in Mesquite, where he served as treasurer, a perfect fit with his accounting and bookkeeping career; and deacon, a service that began in 1952 at Antioch Baptist Church.He was also proud of his military career having served aboard ship in the U.S.Navy. Above all these things, Leonard loved his family and his Lord and of him it can be truly said, "Well done my good and faithful servant." Service will be 10:00AM - Friday June 13, 2008 at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM.
