Leola "Lee" Dunn

Leola “Lee” Dunn, also known as Mom, Grandma Lee, and MiMi, was born March 12, 1935 in Emory, T. Shewent home with the Lord on May 6, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Lola Parker, Brother Bobby Earl, and loving puppy DeDe. Lee is survived by her husband R. Tommy Dunn, to whom she married February 27, 1970 in Dallas, TX. She is also survived by their children and spouses: Michael and Lucy McFadden, Greg and Raquel Banno, Rhonda and Paul Roppolo, and Darla Ellis & Michael Rochelle; grandchildren: Shawn McFadden, Patrick Roppolo, Jarrod Roppolo, Carolee John, April England, Ralf Ellis, Lacey Tebo, and Tori Paddon; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sister, Billie Shotwell; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Lee was always ready to go traveling wherever the road and the coach took her. She had a witty personality, ready with a funny comeback to meet the occasion. Lee loved being a homemaker, taking care of the babies. She enjoyed going to the horse races, ceramics, antiquing, and collecting anything chicken related for the kitchen. A gathering of family and friends will take place at 12:00 Noon on Monday, May 11, 2020 at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, TX, under the east Porte Cochere. Interment will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery on Beltline Road in Sunnyvale. Her family will serve as pallbearers. The family sends a special Thank You to Izetta Franklin, Beth Rosson, Christina Maldonado, and Tamra Corditt for taking care of her during the last few months.
