Hansen, Leland born September 21, 1931 passed away on June 11, 2012. Leland was in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955. Leland was born in Kimball, South Dakota, moving shortly after birth to Platte, South Dakota, where he lived until graduation from high school. He moved to Los Angeles, CA, and during his lifetime, lived in Burlingame, CA, Honolulu, HI, Falls Church, VA, before settling his family in Garland, TX. He passed away in The Villages of Lake Highlands in Dallas, after spending the past 42 years in Garland. He and Marion would have been married 50 years this coming November. Lelands passion was classical and opera music, and was a devoted St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and Green Bay Packers fan. Leland was preceded in death by: Frank Hansen, son; Lydell Hansen, brother; Craig Hansen, nephew; Herbert and Ann Hansen, parents. He is survived by: Wife Marion Hansen, Garland, Texas; Son & daughter-in-law Chris and Lloyd Hansen, Glendale, California; Daughter & son-in-law Nancy and Darryl Jeanes, Canton, Texas; Son & girlfriend Gregory Hansen and Becky Haynes, Plano, Texas; Grandchildren: Shelbi, Brandon and Audrey Jeanes, Canton, Texas; Sarah Hansen, Glendale, California; Sister-in-law Theda Hansen, her husband Foster Holcombe, and nephews Lee, Todd, and Dane Hansen and their families; Brother-in-law & sister-in-law Frank and Gail McMillan, Edmonton, Alberta, and nieces and nephew Barbara Sempovich, Susan, Cathy and John McMillan and their families. Family will receive friends for a vistiation at New Hope Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 6pm - 8pm. .
