In Memory of an Angel Laurren Brooke Smith was born on April 9, 1996 to the proud parents of Brian and Patty Smith. Laurren is the youngest daughter of four children. Her siblings are Kelby Blain Smith, Chasatee Nicole Henery, and Brandun Keith Smith. Mommy put two r's in her name so that she would stand out and that she did. Laurren is our blue eyed doll with lots of cute freckles, we call them "Angel Kisses"! She is a beautiful girl from the inside out. She loved to be independent and she loves to put a smile on everyones face. Her smile would light up any room! God gave her a huge heart because she adored everyone she met. Laurren loved the Lord and she was very close to every member of her family and her friends. She had a passion for making everyone smile and she loved to play practical jokes, telling silly jokes, cheerleading, dancing, singing and hanging out with her girlfriends. She had a fighting spirit like no other. At times Laurren could be very shy, at other times she would be the first to try anything. Laurren was a born leader with a strong personality yet she was humble in every way. We feel Laurren was the STRONGEST GIRL IN THE WORLD . She never complained, she was rarely sad, all she wanted was to smile and be happy and love all that she came to know. Praise GOD for the gift HE gave us when HE blessed us with Laurren. When Laurren was diagnosed with a rare cancer called oteosarcoma on August 22, 2007, she prayed not that God would heal her, but that God would give her a "Positive Attitude". God truly blessed Laurren with a wonderful "Positive Attitude" and much more and Laurren wanted others to know the kind of peace she had. Our Heavenly Father was waiting on Laurren with opens arms on December 4,2009 to show her how many lives she truly impacted while on this earth for such a short time. Laurren is very loved by all her family, friends and many others across the world whom she touched in countless ways. Laurren will be greatly missed by all as she leaves a legacy few will ever know. She lives in our hearts as an example to love others and find joy regardless of the pain and suffering this world can bring. As long as we remember how she lived her life and share her life with all, Laurren's legacy will live forever. Our baby girl is now in the "Arms of an Angel".
