Larry Buit Stover, 82, passed away peacefully at home on October 20, 2023, in Terrell, TX.
Larry Stover was born on March 21, 1941, in Charleston, West Virginia to Buit Stover and Frieda Crouse. He started his career as a mechanic and worked for the City of Farmers Branch for over 25 years.
Larry married Marcille Cox on October 28, 1967, in Dallas, Texas. The couple had 3 children, Robert Shine, of McKinney, Texas; Shannon Stover, of Terrell, Texas; Tracy Flores, of Garland, Texas.
Larry also served in the Air Force from 1959 - 1963.
Larry is survived by his son Robert Shine and wife Dianna of Mckinney, Texas, his daughters, Shannon Stover of Terrell, Texas and Tracy Flores of Garland, Texas.
Grandchildren - Alex Flores, of Rowlett, Texas, Lauren Flores, of Dallas, Texas, Jordan Flores, of Garland, Texas, Jessica Baas and husband Andrew of Melissa, Texas, and Leanne Shine, of Mckinney, Texas.
Great-grandchildren - Kennadee Baas, Kaylee Baas, Kinsley Shine, and Braylon Flores
Siblings - Joe Stover, Sandra Hendricks, Diana Johnson, Curtis Stover, and Delta Graham
Nephews - Jeff Stover and Joe Stover Jr.
Larry is preceded in death by his wife, Marcille Stover, his father, Buit Stover, his mother, Frieda Crouse, and great-granddaughter Madelyn Williams
The memorial service for Larry Stover will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 10:00am at New Hope funeral home.
