Larry Dale McDaniel “Poppy” was born January 10, 1948, and passed away August 7, 2019. A resident of Terrell, Texas, he is preceded in death by his mother, Odessa Lea Powell, his granddaughter, Crystal Valley, and grandson, Johnathan Valley. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sharen. He is survived by his sister, Sandi, nephew, Colby, and niece, Stacey. He is survived by his children, Debbie and Geoff, Terri and Cory, Jamie and Brad, Angela, Rhonda, Twana Jo, and Melissa He is survived by his grandchildren,Troy and Meagan, Traci, Jared, Jason, Christopher, Jeremy, Erik, Richard, Stephanie, Cathy, Alex, Brandon, Braie and Samuel, Jett, and Logan He is survived by his great grandchildren, C.J., Kinsley, Gracelyn, and Kennedy His passions included music, golf, and sports.His performances as an avid musician included fundraisers for children in need and Veterans of Foreign Wars, as well as many church services.He served in multiple capacities during his journey, that included the U.S. Postal Service, sales, communications, and armed security.He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle.Although he leaves an emptiness for his loved ones with his departure, the memories of his sense of humor, curiosity, and love for his family will last forever.
