Larry Lee Fagg, was an Army Veteran, Sante Fe Northern Division Station Clerk, and Fort Worth Western Railroad Clerk retiree and long time resident of Mesquite, Texas. Larry passed away peacefully in his home on March 23, 2023 surrounded by loved ones. Larry is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janie Fagg; his children, Debra Rhodes, George Dowdey, and Lloyd Dowdey Jr.; his grandchildren, David Dowdey, Amy Solis, Billy Dowdey, Heather Dowdey, Jennifer Munson, Kamryn Dowdey, Charity Moore, Lisa Moore, Sara Moore, and Stephen Moore; and his great-grandchildren, Chayce, Kyndal, Ellie, Hayes, Wesley, Breanna, Remi, Archie, Squishie, Kaden, Lanie, Jordan, Chloe, Jase, Everly, Amber, Normandie, Alex, Justin, Ciaynna; his great-great-grandchildren, Addison and Sophia; and siblings, sister Linda Perrin and brother, Walter Fagg. Larry was blessed with an abundance of extended family whom he loved and considered his own. Larry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved with his whole heart. He was very passionate about his garden and never missed a ball game. He was an avid Gun Smoke and Andy Griffith fan, he enjoyed family gatherings and playing poker with his best buds. In his spare time, he did volunteer work at the White Rock Center of Hope and at the Santa Fe Credit Union. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, March 31,2023 in the chapel of New Hope funeral home visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the funeral service at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
