Lanny Paul Koons

Lanny Paul Koons (R.B.), was born in Dallas, Texas on December 15, 1940 to Noble Robert and Winnie Cleo Koons.He passed away on June 5, 2008. He was preceded in death by his Father, Noble Koons and his Mother, Cleo Koons; also by his brother, Donald R. Koons; sister-in-law, Linda Koons; niece, Laura Koons. Lanny is survived by his wife, Nancy L. Koons; daughters, Cynthia Koons Hall and husband Ronald C. Hall, Charlotte Koons Walker and husband Jeff N. Walker and one grandson, Tyler Neal Walker; sister, Kathey S. Pederson and husband Jimmy Pederson and brother, Wayne Koons and wife Betty Koons and many nieces and nephews. He was a member of ROTC and he worked 32 years at National Chemsearch, NCH, Inc.He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed Nascar racing and cooking. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society. Services will be Monday, June 9, 2008 at 2:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Hwy 80, Sunnyvale, Texas.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 8, 2008 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
