PASCHALL, Laneta Ann Gaines, "Patsy" of Dallas, was born September 16, 1937 in Palestine, Texas. Patsy went to her Heavenly Home on January 27, 2025. She retired from the City of Dallas after 25 years of service to enjoy life and her grandbabies. She led an active life including earning her "Bachelor in Clogging" degree at the age of 71. She loved writing poetry, and her poem "Heaven's Rodeo" was chosen for publication in the Great Poems of the Western World. She never let grass grow under her feet as she spent her time clogging, square dancing, attending bluegrass festivals, sewing, painting, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She is preceded in death by her parents Morris and Lalia Pickle-Gaines, her loving husband of 47 years, Clyde "Buck" Wesley Paschall Jr., and her first-born daughter, Julie Michelle Paschall-Sexton. She is survived by daughters Melissa & husband Stephen Thompson of Scurry, Texas; Stephanie & husband Paul Franks of Crandall, Texas; and her five "preciousesssss" grandchildren, Steven Blake Jenkins, Tiffany Alexis Thompson, Madison Paige Franks, Mackenzie Lauren Franks, Carson Wesley Franks; sister, Sharon House-Paddock and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Hwy 80, Sunnyvale, Texas, 75182. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 11:00 am, at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Hwy 80, Sunnyvale, Texas, 75182. A fellowship luncheon for family and friends will be at "The Storybook" venue, 410 S. Paschall Rd., Sunnyvale, Texas.
