Kyle Parkhill, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on October 11, 2024, at the age of 72. Born to Ralyn and Nadine Parkhill on April 1, 1952, in Austin, Texas, Kyle spent his childhood in Louisiana alongside his three siblings, Clem, Leslie, and Clay. He graduated from the University of Louisiana Monroe with a degree in engineering, a foundation that would lead to a successful career in his field.
An avid outdoorsman, Kyle had a passion for life that was evident in all his hobbies. He loved riding motorcycles and horses, fishing, shooting, and flying drones. One of his greatest joys was having fun with his beloved wife, Deb. Together they enjoyed life on the lake, traveling, and cheering on the Rangers.
He cherished spending time with his family and friends, always ready to share a laugh or lend a helping hand. As "Opie Kyle" to his beloved grandchildren-Alexander, Brayden, Miranda, Caleb, Carissa, Ethan, Kevin, Amber, Katelyn, Nickolette, Dylan, Chandler, Lacey, Haydon, Braelyn, and Ian-Kyle relished his role as a fun-loving grandfather, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
Kyle's warmth, generosity, and sense of adventure made him a friend to all. He was deeply rooted in his faith, as a believer in Christ, and found great fulfillment in being a part of the First Baptist Rockwall community for the past seven years.
Kyle is preceded in death by his parents, Ralyn and Nadine, and his nephew, Ralyn. He is survived by his devoted wife, Deborah Parkhill, and his loving family: his son, Kyle Ralyn; step-sons, Chad Odom (Marcy) and Cheyne Odom (Leslie); step-daughters, Margaret Thompson, Daphne Thompson, Tina Chandler, Cheree Odom, Heather Stewart (Brandon), and Heidi Defever (Reed). Kyle also leaves behind his siblings, Clem Parkhill (Pamela), Leslie Beaver, and Clay Parkhill (Joy), as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
