Survived by children: Blake, Amber and Autumn Martin; Mother: Peggy Farley Martin; Brothers: Chip Martin and wife Christy; Jay Martin; Nieces & Nephews: Kendra, McKenzy, Jacob, Logan and Aiden. Service will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, November 23, 2013, at Bethel Baptist Church, 9314 Ferguson Rd., Dallas, TX 75228 with the Rev. T. C. Haynes, Rev. C. D. Walker and Rev. Jerry Newton officiating. Family will receive friends Saturday morning at the church from 9:30 A.M. - 10:30 A.M. Interment will be in Laurel Oaks Memorial Park, Mesquite, TX. Brent graduated from Mesquite High School in 1979 and attended Jacksonville Baptist College. He was aChristian and a member of Lake Pointe Church, Rockwall, Texas.He openly shared his faith in Jesus Christ and "didn't want to leave anyone behind." He was an employee of the U.S. Postal Service for thirty-three years.His great-uncle Afton Willmon, Great-uncle Grady Willmon, Uncle Bernie Rose, Uncle Gerald Preas, and Aunt Martha Preas were his role models who had a combined total of one hundred sixty years with the post office. Brent was a caring individual with a sharp wit and had a ministry of helping others.He was an honorary dad to several in his neighborhood who had lost their own dads.
