Kristopher "Kritter" Jahue Akins. He was a true angel and an inspiration to everyone he met. Kristopher Jahue Akins, "Kritter" to all, passed peacefully May 19th, 2012, in Mesquite, at the tender age of 6. He was born in Tampa, FL December 13th, 2005. Born with Trisomy 13, an abnormal chromosome defect, Kritter was given few days to live. Yet, through the determination of his parents, he lived a full life with love and laughter. There were tears and sickness, hospital stays and surgeries, but always love and laughter. A lover of sunshine and the breeze, Kritter touched the lives and hearts of anyone who met him or heard of him. He will be missed by so many. Kristopher is survived by his parents Jonathan Kyle and Leigh Anne Akins; beloved little sister Calleigh Raye; grandparents Keith and Peggy Akins, Jerry and Amy Hajek, Jerry and Lisa Wilkes; great grandmothers Tressie Dobbs and Trudy Rhode; uncle Billy; aunts Heather and Melissa; cousins Austin, Angela, Courtney, Brooke and Benjamin. He is preceded in death by sister Madison Akins, aunt Tanna Crain, Uncle Christopher and great grandparents Jahue Dean, Raymond Rhode and Audrey Steele. Funeral services will be held Saturday May 26th, 2012 at First United Methodist Church of Mesquite at 2pm. A viewing is being held at the church at 1pm. Flowers may be sent to the church at 300 N.
