Kevin Alan Woodard

Kevin Alan "Woody" Woodard passed away August 2, 2014 at Doctors Hospital in Dallas, TX. He was born February 12, 1954 to Maurice and Willie Mae Woodard in Dallas.He attended Gill Elementary School, Hill Junior High and Bryan Adams High School. His family moved to Louisville, Kentucky in 1970 where he attended Westport High School and worked at Standard Country Club.His heart was still in Texas and he moved back there in 1977.He worked on construction and yard crews and for the last seven years worked at the Dairyette restaurant in Casa View, Dallas where he always shared a laugh with his customers and co-workers. He is survived by his mother, Willie Mae (Billie) Woodard; sisters, Melinda Mitchell & husband, John, Carolyn Roehrig & husband, Steve; two nieces and two nephews and six cousins. Visitation will be from 12:30PM - 2:00PM Wednesday August 6, 2014 at New Hope Funeral Home. Service will be 2:00PM Wednesday August 6, 2014 at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Hwy. 80, Sunnyvale, TX. 75182. Interment will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Belt Line Road. Please make any donations to the Salvation Army or the charity of your choice in his memory.
