STOHNER, Sr., Kenneth of Dallas, born August 10, 1927, passed away August 22, 2008. Preceded in death by parents, George & Margaret Stohner. Survived by wife of 61 years, Joyce Stohner; daughter, Linda Utgard & husband, Gordon; sons, Kenneth Stohner, Jr. & wife, Beverly, Sam Stohner & wife, Cynthia; grandchildren, Mark Utgard & wife, Ann, Emily Riley & husband, Josh, Meredith Stohner, Justin Stohner, Matt Stohner, Scott Stohner; and many other loving family & friends. Rev. Stohner served as pastor of churches in Texas and New Mexico for over 56 years, most recently as Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church Dallas. He served as chairman of the Executive Board of the New Mexico Baptist Convention and as a member of the Committee on Comittees and Committee on Boards of the Southern Baptist Convention. He was a member of the Baylor University Development Board and active in Rotary International, serving as president of the local Rotary Club in four different cities. Memorial service will be 2:00PM Tuesday August 26, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Dallas, 1107 San Jacinto, Dallas, TX. 75201. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00PM " 8:00PM.
