Kenneth Nathan Hartley

It is with saddened hearts that the family of Kenneth Hartley of Rowlett, Texas announces his passing at the age of 73 years from pancreatic cancer.Kenneth was born in Houston, TX on October 7, 1946.He was raised in Shreveport, LA and graduated from Byrd High School in 1965.Then, he joined the Air Force and served from 1965-1969.Kenneth graduated from Louisiana State University Shreveport in 1979 and worked in Sales for various oil related and industrial companies.He married Annell Stiles on January 21, 1968.Ken was a people-person and always enjoyed talking to people about most anything, especially his hobbies. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife Nell of 52 years; his son Brad Hartley and wife Tiffany of Fate, TX; daughter Carrie Hargrave and her husband Roger of Wylie, TX; his three grandchildren:Bethany Hargrave, James Hargrave, and Chaz Lathem; sister Mildred Durgin and husband Ron of Lawrence, MA; brother Lloyd Hartley and wife Ellen of Stonewall, LA as well as numerous relatives and friends.He was predeceased by his parents Clifford Hartley and Helen Matthews. A viewing will be held at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, TX on Tuesday 5/12/20 at 500 East Hwy. 80, Sunnyvale, TX75182 from 4 to 6 pm.The memorial service and burial will be on Wednesday 5/13/20 at Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church, Logansport, LA at 1199 Cool Springs Road, Logansport, LA 71049.There will be a viewing at 12:00 pm and graveside service and burial at 1:00 pm.
