Kenna G. Denson

Kenna Gay Denson, age 68, went to be with our Lord on August 30, 2014. Kenna was born on March 30, 1946 in Altus, Oklahoma, the daughter of Kenneth V. and Jodean McGuffin Martin. Kenna graduated from Martha High in Martha, Oklahoma. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in education from Southwestern State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. She was an elementary school teacher for over 44 years. She currently taught 3rd grade at Phillips Elementary in Kaufman, Texas. She was an active member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Terrell, Texas. Kenna is preceded in death by her father Kenneth Martin and her grandmother Ollie Mae McGuffin. She is survived by her husband, Donald Denson of Terrell, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Jeff and Lori Ekrut of Prosser, Washington, son Cody Roberts of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, step-daughter and son-in-law Lonnie and Mindy London, step-daughter and son-in-law Lee and Liz Wright, her mother Jodean Martin of Oklahoma City; her brother and sister-in-law Mac and Mary Martin of Tulsa; her sister and brother-in-law Don and Vicky Noakes of Oklahoma City, and her youngest sister and brother-in-law John and Ricki Harned of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by 3 Nephews, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The funeral will be held at the New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas on September 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM.
