Stubbs, Keith Troy born July 3, 1936 in Norfolk Nebraska to Troy and Melba Stubbs passed away on October 22, 2010. He was preceded in death byhis mother: Melba Stubbs, son: Kurt Stubbs & brother: Jerry Stubbs. Keith is survived by his wife of 53 years Betty Stubbs, father: Troy Stubbs, children: Kevin Stubbs & wife Pam, Karla Clarks & husband Jeff, daughter in law: Dawn Stubbs, grandchildren: Jeremy Stubbs, Jonathan Stubbs, Sarah Stubbs, Candace Sanchez, Holly Ward, Ashley Eudy, & Christopher Ward, great grandchildren: Alexi Sanchez, Angelina Sanchez, Ava Aguilar, Elena Ward, brother: Jim Stubbs & wife Claire, several nieces & nephews, cousins & countless friends. Keith loved Jesus, his family and countless other people in genuine sincerity. Born and raised in the state of Nebraska. Most of his growing up years were in North Platte, NE., where in high school he was active in drama and football. After high school he went one year to Kearney State Teachers College in Kearney, NE. Then spent four years in the Navy. He was stationed in California where he met and married Betty Williams to whom he has been married 53 years. He was also stationed 2 years in New Jersey. After leaving the Navy he spent 10 years as a policeman in Santa Clara, CA. Upon moving to Texas he spent many years selling High School class rings, diplomas, service award pins and cap and gowns. He also worked at the Richardson Police Dept. as a Detention Officer. He really enjoyed both of those occupations and many friends in both fields. Over the past 30 some years he has taught Sunday School, teaching different age groups from the 30s to the 70s. He loved his children and spoiled his grandchildren. He made friends wherever he went. He will be dearly missed. Funeral Services will be held 10:00AM Wednesday October 27, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Sunnyvale Chapel 3018 N. Beltline Rd. Sunnyvale, TX. 75182. Family will receive friends from 6:00 "8:00PM on Tuesday October 26th at New Hope Funeral Home 500 E. Hwy 80 Sunnyvale, TX. 75182 In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimers Association or Sunnyvale First Baptist Church Building Fund.
