Kathryn Lorell Dickerman

March 13, 1928 — June 22, 2012

DICKERMAN, Kathryn (Kay) Lorell Neinast Born March 13, 1928, to Frank and Aina Neinast of Denison, TX. Passed away June 22, 2012 surrounded by her children. Kay was married to Robert Morris (Bob) Dickerman on July 14, 1946 in Denison, TX. She went to school in Denison. She became a Christian as an adult in the early years of their marriage and when Bob surrendered to the Gospel Ministry in 1958, they both began their service to God. Together they served in churches in Texas, Indiana and California. They went where they were needed and more than once packed up the family of seven and moved to a new city to build a church and setup a new home. Her strength is a testament to the role model she became. She never shied away from sharing the gospel. At the age of 45, after her children graduated high school, she went to work outside the home, first for a local newspaper on Cedar Creek Lake and finally retiring from United Way of Metropolitan Dallas as a bookkeeper. She loved spending time with her brothers, their families, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. One of her greatest pleasures was having her family around to cook and bake for them. She was strong, independent and did not like slowing down. Kay was blessed to have many friends in her church and her apartment community and kept in touch with many more from all the places she had lived. Kay is preceded in death by her husband Bob, her grandson, Eric, two sisters, Dorothy and Ruby and her brother, Fred. She is survived by her brothers, Franklin Neinast and wife Joyce of Magnolia Arkansas, and Bill Neinast of McKinney; four sons, Bob Dickerman & Nelda of McKinney, David Dickerman & Carol of Murphy, Mike Dickerman of Arlington, Stan Dickerman & Deanna of Mesquite; one daughter, Penny Miller & Nick of Richardson; 12 of her 13 grandchildren, Michelle Hope, Stacey, James, Aimee, Vance, Danny, Michelle Ann, Michael, Rocky, Tania, Kari and Anna; and 22 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Funeral service will be at 11:00amThursday June 28, 2012 at Faith Baptist Church, 1306 North 6th St. in Princeton, TX. New Hope funeral home 972-226-2111 www.newhopefh.com
