Julia Hammonds-Sirmans, 61, went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 18. 2022. Julia went peacefully surrounded by her family due to complications of surgery.
Julia was born on July 13, 1961, in El Paso, Tx to Richard and Joyce Hammonds. She was the baby of her big, loud family. She grew up in Mesquite where she graduated from Mesquite High School in 1979. She started her career as an Abstractor and went on to work for Community National Title.
Julia married Murry Sirmans on April 4, 1986, in Balch Springs, Tx. The couple had 2 children, Ricky Sirmans and Anthony Sirmans.
Julia was best known for her unselfish concern for others. She would do things simply out of a desire to help, not because she felt obligated to. Her altruism didn't just end with human beings, she cared for animals just as much. She found joy in animal rescues and helping find foster homes for them. She always put other people or animals' needs before her own. She would often go without just to help someone else in need. Anyone who knew her would say she was the most kind hearted, generous person they knew. She loved her family and friends, and was dedicated to taking care of them. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Julia served on the executive board of the Crandall Chamber of Commerce as well as the Crandall Combine Baseball Association. She served on several committees for the chamber helping plan banquets, Crandall Cotton Festival & golf tournaments, just to name a few. She had a passion for coaching and along with her husband, coached many youth t-ball and softball teams throughout the years. She had the pleasure of coaching her own son, nieces, nephew and family friends over the years.
