JUDITH BRADSHAW MORRILL, a loving and beloved wife / mother / grandmother / nurse / and faithful friend, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on August 9, 2013 in Dallas after a courageous battle with a failing heart. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 26, 1946 to Jesse & Beverly Bradshaw, II.They moved to Denison, Texas in her high school years, where she graduated from Denison High School in 1964.She then attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 1969 and was an active member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.Judy met her husband and the love of her life (The Rev. Kenneth H. Morrill) there and was married on November 29, 1969 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Fort Worth.They were married for 44 years and were blessed with three fantastic children – Matthew Leigh Morrill (40) / Meredith Lynn (Morrill) Absher (38) / and Michael Lane Morrill (37).She was a caring / loving / nurturing mother / wife/ and nurse throughout her adult life.She later earned a Master of Science degree in Medical Vocational Technology from Texas A & M in Commerce, Texas in 1999 and worked as a school nurse & teacher and with the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, Texas in the Child Development area before retiring in July 2011. Judy was an active member of Sunnyvale First Baptist Church in Sunnyvale, Texas, the Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure / Texas Nurses Association (Registered Nurse) / Caring Hearts Volunteer @ Baylor Hospital of Downtown Dallas / and was privileged to be one of the founders of the Forney Public Library with Mrs. David (Jo) Weiner.She also enjoyed being the leader of her children’s Cub Scout & Girl Scout groups in Forney, Texas. She is survived by her faithful and loving husband (The Rev. Kenneth H. Morrill) of Mesquite, Texas / her three children – Matthew Leigh Morrill (Son) of Rockwall, Texas / Mrs. Kevin Absher (Meredith / Daughter) of Sachse, Texas / and Michael Lane Morrill (Son) in Mesquite, Texas.Three beautiful grand-daughters – Avery Elizabeth Morrill & Haley Grace Morrill of Rockwall, Texas and Sheridan Layne Absher of Sachse, Texas.She is also survived by her loving and caring daughter-in-law (Mrs. Matthew Morrill / Jennifer) and son-in-law (Mr. Kevin Absher). All three of her loving and supportive sisters & brother survive her as well – Mrs. Billy Meyers / Beverly Elaine Bradshaw of Buford, Georgia // Ms. Brenda Bradshaw of Hendersonville, North Carolina and Jesse Austin (Brad) Bradshaw, III of Buford, Georgia.She is also survived by over 20 nieces and nephews. A “Celebration of Life” Memorial Service will be held on Saturday (August 17, 2013) @ 10:30AM at the Sunnyvale First Baptist Church of Sunnyvale Texas located at 3018 N. Beltline Road, Sunnyvale, Texas 75182 (972/226-7105).We are honored to celebrate a life that has blessed so many in her 67 years with us.Judy will be buried at the DFW National Cemetery at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211 in a private family service. The family expresses their sincere thanks and appreciation to the New Hope Funeral Home at 500 E. US Highway 80, Sunnyvale, Texas 75182 and Michael Hollers their Funeral Director.We also wish to thank the incredible ministerial staffs & church families at the Sunnyvale First Baptist Church / First Baptist Church in Forney, Texas / and the Trinity Life Baptist Church in Garland for their love / support / and care of our family through the years.
