Mrs. Judy Eudy slipped the bonds of earth and departed this world for a new life on December 12, 2019 in Forney, Texas from complications of dementia. Judith Faye Wortham was born May 9, 1942 in Westminster, Collin County, Texas to Robert J. and Juanita Wortham. Her dad was a cotton farmer and her mom a homemaker. She was the second of seven children.Raised in Forney, she attended Forney schools where she met Carl Eudy, the love of her life, and married him March 14, 1959.Although they eloped and Judy’s mother had her doubts, there was never a doubt in either of their minds that this was a love story for the ages, proven by 60 years of marriage. She began her work career with Dr. Christine Walker while still in high school and went on to be extremely successful at Fidelity Union Life in Dallas where she rose to become a Vice President and then a subsequent career at Mesquite ISD.Hard work and integrity meant a great deal to her and that included giving back to the Forney community she called home with a t-shirt shop in downtown Forney and her work with the First Presbyterian Church, Forney Library Board and a long list of other community support activities. Nothing meant more to Judy than her family and she was always there for each and every one of them. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Bob and Juanita Wortham, and brothers, Jerry, Michael and Johnny. She is survived by her husband Carl of Forney, daughter Carla of Washington, DC, sisters, brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
