It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Juan Antonio Avila Castrellon, age 62, on October 6, 2024. A devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather. Juan was a man whose kindness, integrity, and generosity touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born on October 15, 1961, Juan was an accomplished and visionary business owner, whose success was a testament to his unwavering dedication and tireless work ethic. His professional achievements, however, were eclipsed by his deep love for his family. Juan took immense pride in the home he built with his beloved wife, Rhonda, a place filled with warmth, love, and laughter.
Juan's compassionate nature extended far beyond his own family. Known for his willingness to help those in need, his generosity and humble spirit made him a pillar of support within his community. His ability to uplift and inspire those around him was a reflection of the kindness he carried in his heart.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Rhonda, and his loving mother-in-law, Jody Taylor. His legacy of love and compassion will be carried forward by his children: Alonso Avila and wife Vanessa; Gina Avila Vasquez and husband Juan; Nathaly Avila and husband Robert Garduño; Megan Davidson and husband Randy; and Adam Weete and wife Brooke. As a proud grandfather, Juan found endless joy in the lives of his grandchildren: Ricky & Julian Avila, Valerie Uvalle, Camila & Christian Vasquez, Jenna, Robbie, Amerie & Zoey Garduño, Hunter & Brooklynn Davidson, and Camden & Tinley Weete. He was also cherished by his many siblings, extended family members, and friends.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Juan Antonio Avila Castrellon will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at New Hope Funeral Home. A time of visitation will start at 1:00 PM with the service to follow at 2:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather and share their memories of a man who was truly extraordinary in every sense.
Though deeply missed, Juan's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. His memory will forever be a beacon of love, strength, and grace.
