BLAND, Joyce Hazel of Forney, born January 10, 1940, passed away August 24, 2009. Joyce worked for Texas Instruments for over 20 years and an active member of First Baptist Church of Forney, a member of Enochs Sunday School class. Preceded in death by daughter, Leslie Jo; parents, Carl & Lucile Bowman and brother-in-law, Ted Gilbert. Survived by husband of 51 years, Sammie; sons, Stanley Bland & wife, Glenda of Forney, Mark Bland & wife, Vivian of Forney; grandchildren, Jennifer Phillips & husband, Kyle of the Woodlands, TX., Jeffery Bland & wife, Ashley of Forney, Kiel Bland of Forney; Kaydee Bland of Midlothian; great grandchildren, Mackenzie Phillips & Thomas Bland; brother, J. W. Bowman & wife, Carolyn of Graham, TX.; sisters, Helen Gilbert of Wichita Falls, Nelda Dearing & husband, Don of Hot Springs, AR; numerous nieces and nephews. Service will be 11:00AM Thursday August 27, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Forney, 1003 FM 741, Forney, TX. 75126. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00PM " 8:00PM.
