Joseph "Tom" Ewton

Thomas“Tom” Joseph Ewton, father, husband, mentor, loyal friend and native Texan, passed away Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, at his home in Mesquite. He was 73. Services to celebrate a man whose life can be defined by its optimism, generosity, belief in his loved ones as well as his colleagues and friends will be held Thursday, October 1, 2015 at New Hope Sunnyvale, Texas at 5 p.m. – 7 pm. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Marion Ewton and Frances Madeline Ewton and brothers William Michael Ewton and Floyd Marion Ewton, Jr. Tom grew up in Amarillo, Texas, and graduated at Saint Stanislaus College. While an active member and manager of the North Texas Skiers Club, Tom met Kathy, his wife and best friend whom he married in 1999. They lived in Mesquite, TX and were married for 16 years. Tom is survived by his wife of 16 years, Kathy Ann Ewton and children; Joseph Thomas Ewton, Jr., John Timothy Ewton, James TracyEwton, Stacey Henderson, andMichelle Vongphakdy.Also survived by grandchildren: Sara Ewton, Tara Peck, Joseph Ewton, Olivia Ewton, Delanie Ewton, Landon Ewton, Justin Ewton, Jordan Ewton, Cole Henderson, Cash Henderson, Jesse Williams, and Jace Vongphakdy.Survived by great grandchildren Dallas Peck and Reagan Parker and sisters; Betty Jean Richards, and Patricia Ann Casebere.
