Joseph Lewis Carter

Joseph Lewis Carter was born on March 27, 1939 and passed away on July 17, 2017. Joseph is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Frances Carter; parents: Joseph Earl and Doris Carter; brothers, Johnny Carter, Jack Carter; sisters: Laura Carter Dickens; Margaret Carter, Savage West; and daughter, Cynthia Denise Carter. Joseph is survived by his children: Joe Carter and wife Sheila, Eric Carter and wife Loretta, Joy Guynes and husband Brian, Brian Henley; grandchildren: Melissa Carter, Aaron Henley, Erica Carter, Justin Carter, Cassie White, Alanna Carter, Nikki Murphy, Jeffrey Burks, Brittany Coronado, Veronica Carter, Jeremy Carter, Scott Guynes, Shane Guynes, Shawn Guynes; 10 great grandchildren; sisters: Betty Carter Johnson, Joy Carter Slovak, Margie Carter Goolsby and husband Harold and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers: Jeffrey Burks, Scott Guynes, Shane Guynes, Justin Carter, Dale Ferguson, and Jacob Carter. A Visitation will be held for Joseph on Thursday July 20, 2017 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas. Funeral Service will be on Friday July 21, 2017 at 10:00AM at New Hope Funeral Home with interment to follow at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park in Mesquite, Texas.
