John Tanner

John Wendell Tanner of Scurry, Texas, born August 29, 1930, passed away June 7, 2012. John was a member of the Cottonwood Baptist Church in Scurry. He is preceded in death by his son Thomas Wayne Tanner, his parents John B. Tanner and Velma Tanner, and his sister Kaye Hooten. He is survived by his brothers Thomas Sam Tanner, Wayne Tanner, and David Tanner, his sisters Bobby Farmer, Jane Wallace, Ruth Houck, Gail Scott, and Carolyn Millar, and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at First Baptist Church, 1003 College Street, Forney, TX 75126 at 1:00pm on Saturday, June 9, 2012. Services will be held at 2:00pm at the church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Forney, Texas.
