John Edward Letney

LETNEY, John Edward of Kaufman, born December 9, 1932 in Staley, TX. passed away April 7, 2006. He was a member of the First Assembly Church of Ola. He also served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He is loved and will be missed by many. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward & Johnnie Letney; daughter, Patricia Jean Letney; grandsons, John Phillip Smith, & Jimmy Edward Floyd; son-in-law, Arthur McCoy, Jr. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Oleta Gray Letney; daughters, Joy Christen & husband, David, Judy Letney, both of S. Carolina and Edna McCoy of Kaufman; 3 Sisters, Verna Griffith, Lois Bryant, Ruby and husband Tommy Warren; 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Service will be 12:00 Noon Monday, April 10, 2006 at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon at the funeral home from 2:00PM - 4:00PM.
