John Coleman Green

February 11, 1921 — January 10, 2007

GREEN, John Coleman also known as J.C., was born February 11, 1921, in Rockwall, TX. , then lived in Dallas all of his life, until he passed away January 10, 2007, peacefully and quietly in Bonham, TX. He is proceeded in death by the love of his life whom he was married to for over 60 years, Geneva Mae Dean Green who died of cancer in 2001. Also joining him in heaven are his parents, Edward and Bessie Mae Green and sisters Grace, Daisy, Rene, and his brother Carl. John is survived by his only son, Robert "Bob" Coleman Green & wife Brenda; grandchildren, John Erik Green of Dallas and Shana Elizabeth Green of Dallas and a soon to be born great granddaughter; and extended family which he held dear. John served in World War II with the Fourth Armored Tank Destroyer Division under General Patton. Upon his return he began work at Metzgers Dairy and later Schepps in their sign department. In 1963 he opened his own sign company called Master Signs with his son Bob. John was also a founding member of Casa View Assembly of God Church and for forty plus years devoted himself to serving the church from Sunday school superintendent to board member. Whether you had the honor to call John a husband, father, relative or friend, one thing is certain, you were touched by his kind heart, sincerity, honesty and generosity of spirit. It could truly be said that his word was his bond. He was loved by many and his shining fun loving character will be missed by all. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Service will be 10:30AM Saturday, January 13, 2007, at New Hope Funeral Home
