John Martin D'Silva

John Martin D’Silva was born on November 22, 1949 in Goa, India. He died on February 5, 2020 in Dallas, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father, Ignacio D’Silva, his mom Josefa D’Silva, and his brother Mario D’Silva. He is survived by his wife Melanie D’Silva, his daughter Jessica D’Silva, his son Jordan D’Silva, his brother Pat D’Silva, his sister-in-law Regina D’Silva, his nephews Chris and Oliver D’Silva, his niece Jennifer D’Silva, his mother in law Millie Hickerson, and his brother-in-law Mike Murray. John graduated from Technical College in Bombay, India in 1972. He moved to Angola, Indiana in 1973 where he attended Trinity State College and majored in mechanical engineering. He graduated in 1974 and moved to Los Angeles, California where he started a manufacturing company. After several years, he decided to start investing in real-estate. He and his brother Pat started their own company and were successful for many years. In 1985 he met his beautiful soon-to-be wife Melanie Murray. They were married July 18, 1986. In 1995, they adopted their daughter Jessica from India, and in 1996, they welcomed their son Jordan. In June 2005, his family moved to Dallas, Texas, where he started another real estate investment company and grew it until his passing. He was involved in various other businesses as well, serving as a mentor to many successful business people.. John was a devoted husband and a loving and adoring father to his children. John gave his life to God in 1995 and was a strong Christian teacher to many, often using his platform as a business owner to teach and empower the less-fortunate. John was passionate about learning, spending his last years researching everything he could about living a healthy life. His lasting mission was to help people take their health into their own hands through knowledge and resilience.
