Joe Cathey

Joe Allan Cathey, 77, of Sunnyvale,Texas, passed away on February 2nd, 2020. Joe was born on April 18th, 1942, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Joseph Wallace Cathey and Roma Delle Galyen. Joe graduated from Martin High School in Laredo, Texas in 1960. He served in the army from 1963 to 1967, receiving a National Defense service medal and good conduct medal. In 1970 he married Lewanna Tribble, who preceded him in death in 2019. During their life together they adopted Brandon, in 1985, while living in Sunnyvale, Texas. Joe worked at TXU Energy as a supervisor at the Lake Ray Hubbard powerplant until retiring around 2008. Joe enjoyed classic cars, fishing, watching football, and spending time with friends and past co-workers.
