Joann Powell

Frances Joann Scott Powell was born October 18, 1932 near Pilot Grove passed away on August 11, 2015. She attended school in Trenton and Whitewright. She worked for the Southland Corporation for 29 years. She remained retired for 11 years and then went back to work for Foleys/Macys for 11 years. She loved her home, her children and especially her 7 grandchildren. The best of times were they came for visits. Joann is preceded in death by her husband, Charles, her parents Irvin and Alice Scott. brothers, Sidney, Robert, Noel and Elvis Scott. Surviving are her children, Joe Powell and wife Janet, Scott Powell and Pam Barkas and husband Jim Wigton; grandchildren, Justin Powell and wife Jillian, Jeffrey, Jacob, and Juli Powell, Christopher and his wife Emily Powell, Cassie and Cody Powell and his wife Samantha; great granddaughter, Annaleigh Powell and great grandsons, Leighton, Wyatt and Abel Powell; many nieces and nephews.
