Jo Ann Burns was born and raised in Dallas Texas. She had two sisters and one brother. Most of her life, she worked in the retail industry. She worked long and hard hours and she struggled to make ends meet, but she always found a way. She loved to cook and most times she cooked like there was an army coming to the table. It didnt matter if there was steak or hamburger, she made sure you ate well at her house. Thanksgiving meals were some of her favorite meals to cook. She would put more love, time, and effort into those meals than you would think possible. There was always enough no matter how many people came over. After she retired, she enjoyed nothing more than living life as a Grandmother and later as a Great Grandmother. She loved to spoil the grandkids as much as she could. If you were to ask her who her best friend was, she would tell you that she had many best friends and that they were,. Evelyn, Billie, Raponza, Irene, Connie, Jodi, Janis, all the folks at the Plano Community Home, and the list would go on and on. She loved them all. Friends and family always brought a beautiful smile to her face and a light to her eyes. Preceded in death by " Father: John W. Anderson Mother: Bertha T.
