Joan Nixon

Joan Nixon was born on August 28, 1931 in Waco, Texas and passed away on January 16, 2017 in Mesquite, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Nixon, son, Bill Jr., and parents: Ray Jones and Winnie Lawson Jones. She is survived by her son, Patrick Nixon and numerous family and friends. A visitation will be held for Joan on Friday January 20, 2017 at 11:00AM at First Baptist Church of Forney, Texas with Funeral Service to follow at 12:00PM January 20, 2017 also at First Baptist of Forney with Rev. Jerry Griffin officiating.Interment will be at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Higher Ground Building Program at FBC Forney, Texas
