Jimmie Franklin Green of Mesquite, born June 22, 1938 in Paris, TX. passed away March 18, 2006 in Mesquite, TX. Jim Green...Husband, Father, and Poppie. Jim retired from Hargrove Electric Co. after 29 years of service.Outside of work he enjoyed golf and serving as a Marshall at Tennison Park in Dallas. He also enjoyed bowling with Dallas Bowling Association on Monday nights as well as bowling Wednesday night with the Hella Shrine Bowlers. He served his country through the National Guard from 1956 to 1967, allowing him to serve during the Cuban Missile Crisis.To serve his community, he became a Mason and later joined the fellowship of Scottish Rite. Preceded in death by father, Clarence Green; sister, Doris Farmer.Survived by wife, Joyce Green of Mesquite; son, Jimmy Green Jr. of Mesquite; daughter, Judith Gilmore & husband, Mike of Midlothian; daughter, Denise Donaldson & husband, Keith of Mesquite; mother, Nettie Green; brother, Gene Green & wife, Sue; sister, Sarah Cleere & husband, O. B.; grandchildren, Klay Donaldson, Madison Gilmore & Kevin Donaldson. Service will be 2:00PM Tuesday March 21, 2006 at Wildwood Baptist Church, 531 S. Walker St., Mesquite, TX. 75149.Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM.
